It is with feelings of great excitement and anticipation that Beth
looks forward to the thirtieth year of operation of Heinze Dance Academy.

Mission
To instill the love of dance, along with self-discipline, to build self-esteem and character, teach daily life skills and boost one’s confidence.  I hope to pass on my love for the art of dance to your child and make him or her a better dancer and person!

FAQ

Q: Can parents see in the studio as I am teaching?
A:
Yes, there is a lobby with three big viewing windows.

Q: Do you have a recital and when is it?
A:
I have a Christmas Benefit Recital in December and the end of year recital is held the first week in June at Quincy Jr High.

Q: At what age do you take students?
A:
Age 3 is the beginning age.

Q: What is Class Attire?
A: Ballet – Dark leotard, pink tights, pink ballet shoes
Tap – Flat black tap shoes for all ages
Jazz – Tan jazz shoes
Pointe – Pointe shoes; beginning age for pointe 12-13 yrs.
Lyrical & Modern – barefoot

About Us

Beth loves to teach and is very grateful to you for considering entrusting your child under her direction.  She always looks forward to the opportunity of getting to know your child.

Beth Grunden Heinze is a 1991 magna Cum Laude graduate of Stephens College with a BFA in Dance Performance, an AA in Liberal Arts and an AA in Child Studies.  Beth is the owner/operator of Heinze Dance Academy which is in its thirty-first year of operation.  Beth is also an instructor at Quincy University.

Beth Heinze is a native of Quincy and began her dance training at age 3 under Harriet Musolino.
Beth has twice been asked to join a professional ballet company in California.
Beth was awarded the Most Valuable Dancer Award in college.

Heinze Dance Academy offers classes in ballet, pointe, lyrical, modern, jazz and tap to ages 3 and up.  Private lessons by appointment.

Beth Grunden Heinze strongly believes in the value of education and the personal fulfillment of performance and held the following titles:
1987 Miss Chicago National Dance Masters
1988 Miss Northwest Missouri
1989 Miss Bethany (MO)
1990 Miss Rockford (IL)
1991 Miss Quincy

Beth teaches privately for and also choreographs for Miss America contestants.  Beth has had several contestants in the Top 5 of Miss Missouri, Illinois and Wisconsin as well as winning the title and the talent preliminary of their state pageant.
